Prefectural Weather Information | Saga Prefecture Weather Information on Heavy Rain, Lightning and Gusty Winds
August 12, 2025 11:09 Announcement by the Saga Regional Meteorological Observatory
In Saga Prefecture, please be vigilant against landslide disasters until the evening of the 12th. Also, be careful of severe gusts of wind such as lightning strikes and tornadoes until late on the night of the 12th.
 [Weather Overview]
Warm and moist air flows towards the stagnant front in the Tsushima Strait, making the atmospheric conditions very unstable.
For this reason, there is a risk of heavy rain accompanied by lightning locally in Saga Prefecture from the afternoon to the evening of the 12th. The ground has become loose in some places due to the heavy rain so far, and even a little rain may cause landslides.
