Prefectural Weather Information | Saga Prefecture Weather Information on Heavy Rain, Lightning and Gusty Winds
2025 August 10, 23:59 Saga Regional Meteorological Observatory announced
In Saga Prefecture, please be on high alert for landslide disasters, flooding of low land, and rising water and flooding of rivers until dawn on the 11th. Continuing, there is a possibility that a linear precipitation band will occur on the morning of the 11th, and the risk of heavy rain disasters will increase sharply.
 [Weather Overview]
Warm and moist air flows towards the front in the Tsushima Strait, making the atmospheric conditions very unstable. The front is expected to stagnate in the Tsushima Strait until the 12th.
For this reason, in Saga Prefecture, heavy rain accompanied by lightning and very heavy rain will fall locally until noon on the 11th, and there is a risk of heavy rain. There are places where the ground is loose and the water level is rising due to the heavy rain so far, and even a little rain may cause landslides and river flooding. There is also a risk of severe gusts of wind such as lightning strikes and tornadoes.
