Saga Prefecture Heat Stroke Warning Alert

In Saga Prefecture, tomorrow (23rd) is expected to be dangerously hot with a remarkably high temperature and a risk of heat stroke. Please take action to prevent heat stroke.

<Actions to prevent heat stroke>
・Indoors, please use the air conditioner appropriately and stay in a cool environment.
・Please try to keep outdoor outings as short as possible and avoid hot hours. Also, take advantage of a parasol or hat.
・Regardless of whether you are indoors or outdoors, please hydrate and replenish salt frequently.
・People who are prone to heat stroke, such as the elderly, children, people with chronic diseases, people with physical disabilities, and obese people, please take action to prevent heat stroke. Also, please watch over and talk to those who are prone to heat stroke from those close to you.
・Facility managers and event organizers should check the heat index and call on facility users and event participants to prevent heat stroke.

The Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is an indicator that indicates the risk of heat stroke, calculated based on temperature, humidity, solar radiation, etc.
The heat index at information points nationwide is provided on the Ministry of the Environment's "Heat Stroke Prevention Information Site". Please check the heat index at your nearest location on the "Heat Stroke Prevention Information Site" and take action to prevent heat stroke.

This information is released when the heat index (WBGT) is predicted to be 33 or higher, and it is information that encourages you to be aware of how to protect yourself. It will be announced around 5 p.m. or 5 p.m. on the day before the forecast date.
For areas that announced information (No. 1) around 5 p.m. the day before the forecast date, even if the latest forecast at around 5 a.m. on the same day drops below 33, the information (No. 2) will be announced to call attention to heat stroke.
